Irishmuseumofmodernart.com was a web intervention which purchased the domain name www.irishmuseumofmofdernart.com and ran a site at that address for a two year period from November 2001.
The site was an artwork which re-imagined the IMMA web presence (at modernart.ie) created in collaboaration with Arthur X. Doyle. The site provided the same information as the modernart site but also offered online galleries of Irish art and curated the well regarded Net Art Open exhibitions in 2002 and 2003.
It wasn't long before the new site had overtaken the modenart.ie site as the number one choice for surfers looking for IMMA's web presence. The site continued in this style offered an alternative web presence and becoming the defacto web face of IMMA until it was retired.
