Dublin 24

Video Projection 2008

Dublin 24
is a work which documents 24 hours in the life of the city through footage taken from the city's extensive traffic camera network. The video animates an image per hour for 24 hours from 100 Dublin traffic cameras resulting in a 2-3 screen projection.

This video documents the installation of Dublin 24 during Lightwave 2008 when it was projected onto the window of the Irish Times building in Dublin's city centre 24 hours a day for the duration of the festival in February 2008. The project was commissioned by the Lightwave Festival at the Science Gallery and The Irish Times.
